Judith Foster — President/Director
Founder of HERO Nurturing Center, Judith is a passionate organizer and advocate for healing and justice. A certified public speaker and forgiveness and reconciliation facilitator, she champions community empowerment through the natural environment.
Danielle Dolan — Vice President / Treasurer
An environmental expert with 20 years of experience, Danielle specializes in equitable water and land-use planning, advancing climate resilience, and uplifting marginalized communities through collaborative, community-led strategies.
Jenny Bonham-Carter — Clerk
With over 20 years as a social worker and deep roots in human rights and interfaith work, Jenny brings global experience and creative leadership to HERO, enriching our community through music, art, and social justice initiatives.
Debbie Hall
As CEO of YWCA Central MA, Debbie is a seasoned leader with 35+ years in addressing domestic violence, racial and gender justice, and community resilience. She is also the founder of the Worcester Black History Project.
Keyla Jackson
A dynamic community advocate, Keyla focuses on public safety, empowerment, and innovative community solutions. At MassHousing, she leads transformative programs like the Hub and COR to address urgent community needs and violence prevention.
Jay Winter Nightwolf
A celebrated media figure and champion for Native American and Latino communities, Jay is the voice behind “The 360 Degrees of the Human Family’s Truths.” His national platforms amplify Indigenous voices and historical truth-telling.
Jeffrey Perrin
Associate Professor of Psychology at Lesley University, Jeff’s research explores human connection to natural environments. A climate reality leader, he advocates for environmental education and emotional wellness through nature.
Jim Recht
A physician and psychiatrist, Jim works in underserved communities addressing mental health and trauma. As a Harvard Medical School faculty member, he champions health justice and climate action through medical leadership.
Trey Williams
A data scientist and active community volunteer, Trey blends professional expertise with deep civic engagement, supporting Boston organizations and empowering young alumni through mentorship and community building.
Nataka Crayton — Organizational Consultant
A creative visionary and dedicated urban farming leader, Nataka blends community development with healing through land and food. Her extensive experience spans program design, leadership, and creating sustainable, people-centered solutions.
